Great pub wish we had something like this where we live gorgeous surroundings, massive outside seating area, food looked great but we never actually ordered any (apart from scratchings) and I had one of the best pints of guiness I've ever had ! I would definitely go back.
A great meal had at the Cock Inn. We sat in one of the outdoor pods, it was very comfortable, warm and dry, and they had a Sonos speaker playing all the great hits which added to the atmosphere. Food was amazing, we opted for Fish and Chips and the triple cooked chips were amazing! Also the best mushy (crushed) peas we've ever had! The service was great, even when the weather took a turn, the coats were on and drinks and food were still being ferried out to our pod in the garden. Highly recommend The Cock Inn for a special occasion.
Awesome pub/restaurant, we stopped randomly, and not disappointed! Stunning food, great service. Great choice of beers, and dog friendly. Will stop again, next time in Derbyshire
Such a lovely ambience to this place. The setting is beautiful. The staff are attentive and friendly and the food exquisite!
Portions were well sized with reasonable prices. The staff was very friendly and the environment really cosy. I definitely recommend it.
I had Sunday lunch which was very nice. Unfortunately dirty glasses were presented to us (lipstick marks) which wasn't pleasant but were changed promptly once I pointed this out. The waiting staff were pleasant but not overly welcoming compared to other restaurants. The positioning of our table wasn't comfortable with children peering down at us constantly and a glass floor to ceiling door causing us to overheat. Also a little too expensive compared to other local restaurants.
We had such a good time at The Cock Inn, the sunday lunch food was absolutely fantastic, especially the veggie wellington which I was really pleased to see on the menu. The food was amazing and is definitely worth the price. Fantastic service and lovely atmosphere. We were in a Garden Pod and when I made the booking I was a little worried that service would be slow as the pods are outside away from the main restaurant but that is not the case at all! We were regularly checked on by a couple of the staff, couldn’t fault it at all! Highly recommend and we will definitely be returning. Thank you
So good!! We loved it here. The food was delicious, our server was so attentive, and we moved indoors for food then sat in the gorgeous garden for drinks and desserts. Would happily go again!
